Take pride in our great city. Show Love toward one another.
Faith Based or Religious Movement.
Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning. 2 John 1:6
Love Salinas is a faith based movement with the roots in our local churches. Please meet with one another and Love Salinas within all faiths and denominations by working together doing Gods work promoting Love Toward Our Fellow Man.
Expectations For Love Salinas Members.
- Know, Weep, Pray and Love Salinas.
- Start now by calling, meeting & emailing influential leaders sharing your heart and how you see the city coming together for this day of community pride and volunteerism.
- Projects: Start now by putting together a list of projects. Contact city parks and public works, schools superintendent, non-profit leaders, etc. Ask (don’t assume) what are the needs in your city. Look at some of the past proven projects for ideas.
Love Salinas is a perfect example of the passion, commitment and willingness of our good citizens to pitch in and volunteer their time, energy and spirit to improve our city. These types of partnerships and volunteer efforts will hopefully be a model for the future.
Love Salinas can be instrumental in bringing our community together and one that unifies us for a common goal … and the beautification of our city is only part of the mission. The community involvement and participation are truly the testament to how we can bridge the divide amongst many members of our community. Be grateful for all the volunteers who donate their time and hard work in making Salinas the best city it can be.
How this grass roots movement started:
The Californian published an article on Oct 5, 2012 by SIG: “Anthony Cannella stated how people should start a movement about Love “Your City” that originated in Modesto.” We found that Love Salinas is a faith based movement with the roots in our local churches. All faiths and denominations should be working together doing Gods work promoting Love Toward Our Fellow Man.
It is up to our churches embracing this idea and using the tools they already have in place.
